Description of the process and the possible stepping stones
The concept is based on developing competences and on the systemic- constructivist theory. The education of the teacher trainees is based on principles like process orientation, need orientation, orientation of experience, resource orientation and own responsibility.
Contents of the education standards are not processed according to the curriculum alone. They arise from the needs of the teacher trainees and the process itself. The trainees have to learn to articulate their interests as well as their personal fields of development. Example: An entrance questionnaire performed in a personal interview makes the trainee aware of his/her competences and the fields of development necessary, to become an intercultural competent teacher. The self reflection is used during the current training.

Because the curriculum is related to the practice that the trainees must have the possibility to make experiences at school (in the classroom, working with parents …). Therefore  cooperation with schools and other institutions is necessary
